I just went outside to see if the Horny Toad was still there, and it was in about the same location, so I was able to relocate it, with some difficulty due to its camouflage. After returning inside to retrieve my camera battery (oops) I re-relocated it and took some pictures. Fortunately Horny Toads are fat and slow and try to survive by hiding instead of by running away, so I was able to all but press the lens against its nose.

Apparently the box turtle was more sensible than the lizard and left the premises to escape the curious cousins.
